Mt. Thom November 1, 2011

We hiked Mt. Thom near Sardis today.  It was a crisp 10C with clear blue sky and wonderful views.  Just over an hour drive and just over two hours to the summit.  We ate an early lunch and took some photos of Cultus Lake, then hiked down in just under two hours.  Quite steep with lots of steps and a very undulating path so never up or down for a long time.  Walked along the Vedder river for an hour and watched the spawning salmon.  Pretty sad to watch them die but that is their life.  Great Day!
